MISS LIBERTY AMERICA™
RULES & REGULATIONS
THE TITLE BEGINS WITH THE STANDARD.
Miss Liberty America™ is a national title of distinction, service, discipline, and responsibility. Eligibility reflects the character of the organization and the demands placed upon the woman entrusted to represent it.
The standards are intentionally rigorous. They honor preparation, civic responsibility, personal conduct, intelligence, physical readiness, and the level of excellence expected of every contestant who enters the competition.
The journey to the crown begins with qualification. The privilege of wearing it begins with earning it.
To be considered for Miss Liberty America™, every applicant must meet the following requirements:
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
AGE
Applicants must be 18 through 27 years of age within the eligibility period established for the competition.
CITIZENSHIP
Applicants must be citizens of the United States of America. Dual citizenship is prohibited.
VOTER REGISTRATION
Applicants must be registered to vote, reflecting the organization’s commitment to informed and active citizenship.
LANGUAGE
Applicants must demonstrate fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
TITLE ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must be born female, unmarried and never previously married, including marriages later annulled, and must never have given birth to a child, be pregnant, or be a parent.
ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT
Applicants must have earned and maintained a minimum 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. No exceptions.
Academic achievement reflects the discipline, preparation, and intellectual standard expected of a Miss Liberty America contestant.
LEGAL & PERSONAL CONDUCT
Applicants must successfully complete a criminal background check and must never have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor drug offense.
PUBLIC CONDUCT
Applicants must never have posed nude in any recorded medium.
PHYSICAL & MENTAL READINESS
Applicants must possess the physical fitness and mental readiness necessary to participate fully in the competition and fulfill the responsibilities associated with the title.
DIGITAL CONDUCT & CHARACTER
Miss Liberty America™ maintains a zero-tolerance standard for conduct, past or present, that includes bullying, harassment, profanity, lewd or sexually explicit behavior, threats, intimidation, public humiliation, degrading or demeaning others, discriminatory harassment, deliberate cruelty, or malicious online behavior. This standard applies to social media, recorded appearances, public comments, messages that become public, and all other digital or public conduct.
Any applicant, contestant, or titleholder found to have engaged in prohibited conduct will be disqualified or removed from the title.
Miss Liberty America™ expects every woman who enters to possess the judgment, dignity, self-control, and respect required to represent the organization at the highest level. If your public or digital history does not reflect the character expected of Miss Liberty America™, do not enter.
PREPAREDNESS & PROFICIENCY
Miss Liberty America celebrates women who are capable, informed, disciplined, and prepared to act.
Every contestant must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
CPR CERTIFICATION
(Contestants must hold current CPR certification.)
Preparedness can save a life, and service requires the ability to act when another person needs help.
FIREARM SAFETY & PROFICIENCY
Contestants must demonstrate proficiency in the safe, responsible handling and use of firearms.
Knowledge, discipline, judgment, and respect for safety are essential components of this requirement.
CIVIC KNOWLEDGE
Contestants must know and understand: The Constitution of the United States and The Declaration of Independence
A woman seeking to represent liberty should understand the principles upon which that liberty rests.
TALENT
Every contestant must possess and demonstrate a talent.
Talent reflects dedication, discipline, preparation, and the pursuit of excellence.
THE STANDARD OF CONDUCT
Every contestant is expected to demonstrate integrity, dignity, sportsmanship, courtesy, discipline, preparedness, personal responsibility, and respect throughout every phase of the competition. The way a contestant responds to pressure, disappointment, competition, and success is part of how character is measured. Excellence is demonstrated long before a winner is announced.
PREPARATION BEGINS BEFORE ARRIVAL
The standards of Miss Liberty America™ are published so that every prospective
contestant understands what will be expected of her.
Study the Constitution.
Understand the Declaration of Independence.
Earn CPR certification.
Develop physical strength and endurance.
Become proficient in firearm safety and responsible handling.
Refine communication skills.
Develop talent.
Strengthen knowledge.
Practice discipline.
Build character.
Do not arrive hoping to meet the standard. Arrive prepared to embody it.
KNOW THE NATION YOU SEEK TO REPRESENT
A national title carries a national responsibility.
Miss Liberty America™ contestants are expected to understand the principles, rights, responsibilities, and founding documents of the nation they seek to represent.
